What is a fire hydrant?

Fire hydrant is an underground main fed water supply that the fire brigade will use in the event of fire.It is advised that you regularly check these and have them tested each year in accordance with the British Standards, as fire hydrants are below ground level they often become clogged, damaged or inaccessible.
